Dr. Dorothy Jackson knew from an early age that she wanted to work with animals. After working with a local veterinary practice during high school, she realized that veterinary medicine was the right path for her. She obtained her bachelor’s and veterinary medicine degree from Mississippi State University. After completing a rotating internship at the University of Missouri in 2010 and an oncology internship at Georgia Veterinary Specialists in 2011, she completed her residency at Veterinary Cancer Center under the mentorship of Dr. Gerald Post. She practiced oncology in New Jersey for 5 years before returning to Norwalk.
Dr. Jackson enjoys being able to offer a variety of treatment options to her clients, including both traditional and novel therapies. She likes being able to tailor a protocol that may include both Eastern and Western medicine. She completed training in acupuncture at the Chi Institute and is currently studying various herbal therapies.
